Princess Introduces New Cruise-Tour Options in Europe

Princess Cruises has added two new cruise-tour options to its Europe lineup next year. The 19-night “Swiss Splendors and Lake Como” cruise-tour explores Alpine Switzerland and the lake district of Italy, paired with a Mediterranean cruise. The 18-night “Timeless Cities of the Rhine River” cruise-tour combines a week-long river cruise with a Princess sailing to Scandinavia and Russia.

“Swiss Splendor and Lake Como” is a seven-night tour from Zurich to Venice that takes in Lucerne, Old Berne and rail travel to Jungfraujoch. The Lake Como leg visits gardens, villas and villages. The land tour is combined with a 12-day “Grand Mediterranean” cruise from Venice on the Ruby Princess.

After a successful test last season, the 18-night Rhine cruise-tour features a seven-night river cruise from Basel to Amsterdam aboard Avalon Felicity or Avalon Visionary. The river cruise includes guided excursions in Strasbourg, Heidelberg, Mainz, Rüdesheim, Koblenz and Cologne.
