River Cruising with AMAWaterWays
Published Thursday, October 20th 2011 - Updated Saturday, October 22nd 2011Yesterday I attended a webinar on AMAWATERWAYS river cruises and was really impressed!
My husband and I did a river cruise ourselves a couple of years ago, and absolutely fell in love with the whole concept. River cruising offers the advantage of smaller more intimate sailings - and believe me there is nothing like slowly cruising up a river in Europe with all the magnificent scenery all around you. River cruising is sophisticated - but not formal -and surprisingly affordable with all that is included in the price.
AMAWATERWAYS is an award-winning river cruise line providing fine, all-inclusive river cruise vacations in Europe, Russia and Southeast Asia. And...they have just announced that coming in June 2012 they will also be offering River Cruising in Africa!! More to come on that cruise - but it will definitley be on MY bucket list!
Right now they have some amazing deals for specific dates. For example:
THE LEGENDARY DANUBE
7-night Nuremberg-Budapest cruise
From $1,499 per person cruise only
Add 3 nights in Prague for $690 p.p.
U.S. Departure Dates: Oct. 26, Nov. 7 & 21, 2011
AMA WATERWAYS Triple Savings
TRIPLE SAVINGS ARE BACK!

& $100 SHIPBOARD CREDIT PER STATEROOM
Some of the features that AMA WATERWAYS offer are:
- New, state-of-the art fleet of European river cruise vessels with every modern luxury of a top-rated hotel.
- Innovative ship design featuring French balconies.
- Elegant staterooms with marble-appointed bathrooms, luxurious amenities, flat-screen TVs and complimentary high-speed Internet and first-run Hollywood hit films.
- Complimentary features include free-flowing local wines at dinner, onboard Wi-Fi, guided bicycle tours and small group shore excursions at each destination.
- Fitness area, beauty salon, walking track and fleet of bicycles.
- Europe's fastest-growing river cruise line.
The first thing that caught my attention with regards to AMAWATERWAYS cruises is that the average age for their passengers is mid 50's - I was surprised to learn that unlike their competitors AMAWATERWAYS appeal to a younger target audience with features such as up to 40 beautiful new bicycles onboard for their guests for guided bike tours.....and their complimentary shore walking tours have the advantage of offering three different groups - one for gentle walkers, a group for average walkers, and a third group for active walkers.
They have some excellent specials, so if you know of someone who would be interested in an incredible deal on river cruises for the remainder of this year - or if they'd like to book ahead for 2012 and take advantage of early booking discounts, tell them to call me today at 336-790-8911 or email me at jan@takeasuitcase.com
